MIT Policy Hackathon: Hack-GPT (Generating the Policy of Tomorrow)
From November 17, 2023 5:00 pm to November 19, 2023 5:00 pmOnlineThe 2023 MIT Policy Hackathon, convened by MIT’s Institute for Data, Systems, and Society and Technology and Policy Program, aims to address relevant societal challenges via data and policy analysis. Hackathon participants work in teams to develop creative policy solutions to problems raised by government, academia, or industry partners.
Each year, participants are given interdisciplinary challenges on important policy issues. Challenges are based around real data from our partners in government, academia, or industry! Teams work on different challenges according to their preference, and one team is ultimately selected as a winner for each challenge category.
How to hack?

A panel of current students will describe their experiences applying to the program, living in Cambridge, and doing research at MIT. Prospective students will have the ability to submit questions to the panel via Slido. Registration is required to receive the webinar link.
Students from historically underrepresented groups in higher education are encouraged to attend. We value diversity and strongly encourage participation from individuals from all identities and backgrounds.
Note that this panel is being run by students and is not affiliated with the TPP Admissions Committee. Consequently, students cannot answer questions assessing the qualifications of any specific candidate nor can they speak on behalf of the Admissions Committee.
