Research to Policy Engagement Initiative: MIT’s reopening policy and the science that informed it

Join us for the Research to Policy Engagement Initiative’s kick-off session this semester where Prof. Anette (Peko) Hosoi, MIT Associate Dean of Engineering and Professor of Mechanical Engineering, will speak to us about how decision-makers at MIT used science and engineering to plan MIT’s Covid-19 response.
TPP’s Research to Policy Engagement Initiative aims to to create a community of researchers who can learn, apply, and contribute to developing best practices in bridging knowledge to action on societal challenges, across experiences in different research domains. The initiative seeks to connect researchers from diverse disciplines, policymakers and other stakeholders interested in the implementation aspects of technology by creating a discussion space for technology-policy interfaces.
