• MIT Maritime Consortium releases “Nuclear Ship Safety Handbook”

TPPers Anthony Valiaveedu and Nat Edmonds co-author first-of-its-kind handbook that serves as guide for design safety for civilian nuclear ships.

  • Securing the Seas

TPP student Strahinja Janjusevic’s research aims to secure maritime systems from GPS and AIS spoofing by developing a hybrid AI framework that combines deep learning, control theory, and cybersecurity. During his internship with Vectra AI, he expanded this work by exploring how AI agents can be used in offensive security and demonstrated how encrypted model communications could be exploited for covert cyber operations.

  • Translating Climate Risk to Communities

Through work on the System for the Triage of Risks from Environmental and Socioeconomic Stressors (STRESS) platform and a summer internship with the Essex County Community Foundation, TPP student Hannah Rajput investigated how people understand risk, and how to better communicate risk to the community.
