MIT Technology and Policy Program

Leading Technology & Policy

Since its launching in 2012, the Leading Technology & Policy Initiative (LTP) has quickly coalesced into a focal point of technology policy research and thinking at MIT. Led by several faculty of MIT’s Institute for Data, Systems, and Society, LTP has been sponsoring a variety of events around science and technology policy, and is supporting ongoing research activities in the fields of engineering systems, atmospheric and climate science, energy and environmental economics, and innovation systems. Made possible by a generous donation, LTP is proud to award annual post-doctoral fellowships that provide leading young researchers with the opportunity to pursue technology policy research at MIT.

As part of the LTP mission, we seek to stimulate conversations among the thriving and highly diverse community of technology policy scholars and practitioners about the unique problems, methods and contributions of our field. Through our seminar series, dedicated symposia, workshops, and other activities, we actively seek intellectual exchange and input from colleagues around the world.
